A few months ago I decided to change my habits. I wanted something new, something different. As usual when I paint, I get inspiration from my own emotions, sometimes they are happy feelings, but often also sad or upset ones which I then put on a canvas. My plants are also a source of inspiration, and so I implemented one of my favourites, Edna (yep I’m one of these people that names her plants).

When I bought the canvas, the shop assistant looked at me in surprise and said “that’s a big canvas”. Yes you are right, it has been my largest painting so far and it was so fun to paint. It took a few days to finish since I used oil paint and added different layers. Oil colours are amazing since they are shiny and intense, the cleaning part, however, is less fun as you can imagine. Anyway, I took courage and decided to go out of my way and paint something strange, out of the line, almost absurd.

Naturally it was not as well received in the house so I put it up on my own wall in my room. I love it though because it’s different!
